Mary Jane Crain Holbert, 53, of Niota, died Monday, July 21, 2008, at Woods Memorial Hospital.

She was a member of Rockview Baptist Church, and a veteran of the U.S. Army. She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Wesley Crain.

Survivors include her husband of 20 years, Larry \"Weasel\" Holbert of Niota; four sons and two daughters-in-law, Lee Allen and Dawn Kleint of Roanoke, Va., Richard Kleint of Sweetwater, and Chad and Laurie Holbert and Jeff Holbert, all of Knoxville; five grandchildren, Tori, Brandon and McKenzie Holbert and Emma and Joshua Lee Kleint; her mother, Oca Crain of Niota; one brother, James Crain of Lumberbridge, N.C.; one sister, Nita Dulaney of Niota; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

The body is at Kyker Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday with the funeral service to follow at 8 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Lewis Webb, the Rev. Freddy Gibson and the Rev. Scott Standridge officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10:45 a.m. Thursday for the 11 a.m. burial in Old Fashioned Baptist Church Cemetery, with full military honors provided by Sweetwater V.F.W. Gold Star Post 5156.

Kyker Funeral Home of Sweetwater is in charge of arrangements.
