Lula Mae Johnson, 70, of Tellico Plains, died Friday, July 18, 2008, at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville.

Survivors include her husband, Bobby Johnson of Tellico Plains; one daughter, Deborah Bookout of Tellico Plains; one sister, Diane Saffles of Etowah; two brothers, Walter Younce of Sevierville, and Jim Younce of Portland; two grandsons, Joey Bookout and Doug Bookout; one great-grandson, Bobby Joe Bookout Jr.; and several nieces and nephews.

The family received friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Myers Funeral Home. Funeral services followed at 8 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Don Harris officiating. Family and friends assembled at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home and proceeded to Rural Vale Cemetery for the 2 p.m. burial.

Myers Funeral Home of Tellico Plains was in charge of arrangements.
