DECATUR - Meigs County got mixed results in a pair of District 5-AA games Friday night as the Lady Tigers rolled to A 30-point victory over Sweetwater, while the Tigers let a lead slip away in an overtime loss.

Lady 'Dogs claim first place in AAC
COLUMBIA, S.C. - With a 73-52 win over Appalachian AtHletic Conference foe Columbia College on Saturday, coupled with a Virginia Intermont loss to Union College, the Tennessee Wesleyan College women (18-7 overall, 11-3 AAC) claimed first place in the conference standings, but the lead is a slim one game over a pack of three teams tied for second place that includes Virginia Intermont (17-9, 10-4), Bluefield (16-8, 10-4) and Montreat (17-8, 10-4). -

Bulldogs bounce Bluefield
Despite a desperation rally that sent the game to overtime, the Tennessee Wesleyan College women were administered a big dose of their own medicine Thursday night by visiting Bluefield College and it was a bitter pill to swallow.
