Bobby Lee Cook

Bobby Lee Cook, 60, of Athens, died Monday, Feb. 8, 2010, at his residence.

A native and lifelong resident of McMinn County, he was a son of the late Larkin and Iva Crye Cook, and was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Faye Farmer Cook; three brothers, Kenneth, Elmer and David Cook; and four sisters, Beulah, Eula, Lucilla and Amanda Cook. He was a member of East Etowah First Church of God, and was a former employee of Athens Stove Works for 27 years.

Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Jacky and Wendy Cook of Athens; two grandchildren, Austin and Dylan Cook; three sisters and one brother-in-law, Sue and Dave Alberts of Yakima, Wash., Gladys Martin of Englewood, and Lorene Duncan of Athens; and one brother and sister-in-law, James and Susie Cook of Athens.

Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Friday at McMinn Memory Gardens with the Rev. Doyle Lloyd officiating.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Ziegler Funeral Home.
