Raymond Webb

Raymond \"Larry\" Webb, 59, of Etowah, died Monday, Feb. 8, 2010, at Woods Memorial Hospital.

A native and lifelong resident of McMinn County, he was a son of the late Sam and Retha Plaster Webb, and was preceded in death by one brother, Dewey Webb; and one sister, Betty Jo Martin.

Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Betty Vail Webb of Etowah; four sons and three daughters-in-law, Raymond and Lynn Webb of Athens, Michael Webb of Etowah, Jeff and Rhonda Webb of Athens, and Timmy and Tiphany Webb of Etowah; five grandchildren, Cory, Tristan, Jessica, Autumn and Donavan; one brother and sister-in-law, John and Thelma Webb of Etowah; one sister and brother-in-law, Louise and Bill Baxter of Athens; two brothers-in-law and their spouses, Bill and Louise Baxter and Roger and Connie York, all of Athens; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Ziegler Funeral Home with the Rev. Keith Wilcox and the Rev. Craig Wilcox officiating. Burial will follow in Tranquility Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
