Rev. Dr. James Nelson Hardin Jr.

A son of the late James and Agnes Hardin, he was the pastor of Harwell Chapel AME Zion Church in Etowah. He was a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, and was preceded in death by one brother, Dr. James C. Hardin Sr.
Survivors include his devoted wife, Bernetta McBath Hardin; one sister and brother-in-law, Dianne and Peter Ebbs; one brother and sister-in-law, Billy and Janice Hardin; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends and church family.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to noon Wednesday at Logan Temple AME Zion Church, located at 2744 Selma Avenue in Knoxville, with funeral services to follow at noon with the Rev. James R. Bridgeman officiating and Bishop Roy A. Holmes as the eulogist. Burial will follow in Sherwood Memorial Gardens.
Jarnigan & Son Mortuary of Knoxville is in charge of arrangements.
